Tayi Tibble is a Maori artist and poet from the tribes Ngati Porou, Te Aitanga-a-Hauiti and Te Whanau a Apanui.
She is the author of two collections of poetry, Poukahangatus and Rangikura. Her work has been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Dazed, Harpers Bazaar, Interview Magazine, Nylon, Alta magazine, Vogue AU and The New York Times.
Tayi began making jewellery after attending a Native American beading workshop in Olympia in the Pacific North West. Inspired by her travels, culture and connections, her work is designed with the mana wahine in mind, reflecting the indigenous connection to nature in a contemporary way.
